All of the main characters from the original preschool-2nd grade JumpStart games in a 'rubber hose' art style, which was used by many animations in 1930s, as well as some modern works like Cuphead. I've always found this art style intriguing, although this was my first time really trying to emulate it. I ended up browsing various 1930s cartoons and the Cuphead wiki for inspiration. I also decided to go with the oldest JumpStart character designs since it seemed fitting. The rubber hose art style harkens back to an early era of animation, and this harkens back to an early era of JumpStart.
